Grandma's visit

I just wanted to say how much I appreciate Tim's mom. She was so willing to come and spend a week of her vacation time to take care of our kids so Tim and I could take a vacation together. The kids had so much fun. She did crafts with them when they came home from school. She made their favorite dinners. She even had family home evening with them. All the laundry and sheets were all clean when we got home. Wow! It was so nice.

The kids had such a great time. Joey told us just the other day that he misses Grandma Leffel. (Except he says Grandma Reffer.)

Grandma had her birthday while we were in Florida (on April 2) and the kids put on a big party for her. Ashlyn made her a chocolate cake with chocolate icing and stuck chocolate candy bars down in the cake. And decorated it really cute. Ashlyn was really proud of her very first cake. Here is a picture of it...

The girls wrapped up the cute stuffed rabbit that we bought for her before we left and gave that to grandma along with many other surprises...Ashlyn and Corissa even gave grandma some of their own money. It was so fun to hear how special the kids made grandma feel on her birthday.
