California Adventure

Tuesday, November 24th One of the kids (who will remain nameless) asked me, "Why did we take a picture with the "L"?"
Tim decided to be BRAVE and finally ride the Maliboomer! He looks scared!
Waiting to ride the Toy Story Mania...
It was a favorite! Good thing we liked it because we had to wait in line for an hour!
Joey and McQueen! So cute!!

Such a magical place...

Huntington Beach

On Saturday, November 21st, we arrived in California, checked into our condo and headed straight for Huntington Beach. The kids really, really, really wanted to go to the beach. We left a day early and stayed at La Quinta Inn in St George just so we would have time for the beach.

Anyway, the beach was beautiful. The kids had a great time splashing and running with the waves. Bobby and Michael enjoyed collecting sea shells. We took some amazing pictures...

Sea World

For our trip to California we bought the City Pass, which included a day at Sea World, 3 day Park hopper tickets at Disneyland and California Adventure, a day at Universal Studios, and a day at San Diego Zoo or Wild Animal Park (we went to the Zoo).

The kids were so excited to spend the day at Sea World. They loved everything about it. I think they especially loved touching the Rays! But we really enjoyed watching the Shamu show, too. They have a few rides that were pretty fun - Shipwreck Rapids, Journey to Atlantis (which scared me so bad), and Wild Arctic Ride. Joey liked the mini rides - Elmo's Flying Fish and Oscar's Rocking Eel. Overall, it was a relaxing and great day.
Sea World is amazing. Playing with the Rays
I love the Fish on this Christmas tree!

Quick Trip to Oregon

We decided that we would all attend Grandma Seyboldt's funeral in Oregon. We left last Wednesday and came home just a few short days later. It was a very quick trip and not under the best circumstances, but it was fun to spend time with our Oregon family.

Oregon is always very beautiful, but this time of year is spectacular. Vibrant colors are everywhere. The streets were lined with American flags in honor of Veterans. It was very beautiful!

It was quite the family reunion...The kids with their Oregon cousins

Grandma Seyboldt

Last night Grandma Seyboldt passed away. We are very sad to lose her. We will miss her so much. It is nice to know that she is in a wonderful and better place and not in pain anymore.
We love you, Grandma!

Happy Halloween

We hope you had a fun, crazy and candy-filled Halloween!
We sure did! Joey's ready to go trick or treating
Don't you love my long-lost child? He's looking a little pale.
Joey's candy...puts a smile on his face!
Sorting and trading all their candy. Corissa got 150 pieces of candy and Ashlyn got around 200 pieces! Michael, Bobby and Joey each got about 120 pieces. Pray for their teeth! Joey had such a great time on Halloween. We all went trick or treating for about 2 hours and Joey didn't complain one time. (Except he was really thirsty, but he got over it!)
After we went out trick or treating, the boys came home and watched a movie - Indiana Jones 2. Corissa went trick or treating with her friends - Jaxynn, Alek, and Beamer. She was so excited that she was allowed to go trick or treating without a parent. Ashlyn went out trick or treating with a bunch of friends too and we didn't see her until about 10 pm. They all had a great time!
